Meet Shirley-

Shirley is a fun-filled, happy go-lucky 6 month old puppy who has so much love to give. She’s 30 lbs and has short legs – seems like she will be a medium sized dog.  In the morning she is so excited that she just can’t seem to get close enough to give and get hugs. She loves to be cuddled and held like a baby. She’s very submissive and does great with other dogs. She is learning to fetch and loves to play tug with the resident dog. Shirley stays very close when going on hikes and isn’t prone to running off as she does great off leash and always comes when called. She is well on her way to being totally potty trained as she has not had any accidents in the house and always goes potty on command as soon as we go outside.  Shirley is easily trainable as it only takes a sharp “No” and she is instantly corrected.  She is very food motivated and is always fed inside her kennel as she tends to eat very fast and goes bonkers over treats.  Shirley absolutely loves everyone and is great with little kids except her morning enthusiasm for hugs may be a little much for really little kids.  She hasn’t chewed on much of anything except her squeaky toys. She does love to carry shoes & slippers around but hasn’t chewed on them. As long as Shirley has toys and chew bones, she does a great job of leaving everything else alone.  She is really one of the best behaved pups I have ever fostered and will easily acclimate to anyone’s home. Shirley even lets me trim her toenails and doesn’t mind baths at all. This baby girl is a total love bug and an all around great puppy. Anyone would be lucky to have Shirley in their family.
