Meet Scottie!

Scottie is the sweetest and most loving gentle giant. He is not huge (definitely a large dog) but his heart and soul are huge.  Scottie is chill, friendly, a little reserved at first, playful and very affectionate.   He has the typical Wolf Hound characteristics of gentle, noble, sensitive and easygoing. Plus, the hunting aspect!  He has successfully rid the yard of 3 squirrels!   It takes Scottie a few minutes to warm up to new people but a few pets and he is all in.  He does well with  respectful kids but too much chaos and fast movements spook him.  His demeanor is incredibly sweet. He’s the one friend who would do anything for you… his foster mom calls him “just precious”.    Scottie enjoys dogs-big. little, puppy or older and will  often look to the resident dog for cues.

Scottie is house and kennel trained, though he’s probably the kind of dog who doesn’t need a kennel after transitioning to his new home. He walks well on a leash, but he does pull a little. He also loves car rides! So if you’re looking for a co-captain, he’s your guy.  Scottie LOVES the snow and being outside- he is perfectly happy to sit in the fenced yard and chase squirrels or watch the world go by!

Scottie loves affection and will nudge you for more pets because one minute just isn’t enough. He is not treat motivated but will do anything for a pet!  Scottie is the guy who will always brighten your day when nothing seems to go right. His big brown eyes will melt your heart and make it skip a beat. So what do you say? Are you ready to provide him with his happily ever after?
