Please meet Little Miss Sunshine – Sunny!
Sunny is a sweetheart! She is friendly, playful, curious, and affectionate. While in foster, she has not been exposed to cats or kids, but she loves to meet new people and get all the pets and love. Sunny is fostered with 2 other dogs and does great playing and understanding boundaries. She has met 6 other dogs and did great with them too, making fast friends. Sunny would love to have a friend to play with, but I also think she would do great getting all the attention herself. She does great walking on her leash/lead and loves exploring all the new smells this spring has brought.
Sunny has a bin of toys that she LOVES to take out one by one to play with until the entire bin is empty, then when I put them all away, she likes to do it all over again! She is motivated by toys and attention and maybe a little snacky-snack too.
From day 1 in foster, she has liked her crate. She sleeps in it all night (sometimes there’s a few wimpers, but it’s rare), and stays in it while we are away – not one single accident in the crate. When it’s time to let her out, she waits patiently for you to open the door, staring up at you with her big brown eyes. She has a special pen area in the house that she likes to bring toys to. When she gets tired or needs a break from the dogs, she puts herself in the pen area and takes a nap. Did I mention she snores – oh for the love of it!
Sunny is a quick learner. Her house manners are improving as she learns the routine and expectations. Sunny sits at the door and waits for you to let her out. I bet she can learn to ring a bell to go out! Training classes will be very fun and rewarding with this smart girl.
If you want a snuggler, this is your gal. It doesn’t matter if it’s on the couch, floor, the bed, she’ll just nuzzle her way in your lap. Then when it’s time for kisses, she doesn’t really kiss, just boops her nose to your face. Couple other cuteness overloads with this girl – she has a spotted tongue, gorgeous red eye lashes, cute red ears and a soft blondish coat. Sunny has white nails, easier to trim and a long tail that loves to wag. She’s been exposed to a vacuum cleaner, blender and bringing in garbage cans up a long gravel driveway – you just have to assure her she’s safe and she trusts you.
To sum her up in one word – SWEETHEART!
Sunny will be sure to melt your heart, just like she has ours.
