Frank the Tank. Frankinator. Franky. Frank…. the BEST puppy in the world!
Frank came to Minnesota from Alabama with 3 of his 11 siblings a few weeks ago and has slowly but surely been opening up and becoming comfortable in his fur. He is so thankful to be in his first ever home, and if given the time he needs to warm up, he will never let you forget how much he appreciates you.
Frank LOVES to be outside and has recently had his first few zoomies! He is hilarious to watch run back-and-forth, zig-zagging around the yard. He can’t quite keep up with the big dogs, but that doesn’t mean he won’t try. His favorite outdoor activity seems to be rolling in the grass.
When indoors, Frank likes to chew on bones and is starting to figure out what toys are. Most of the time, however, he finds a nice spot on the floor and sprawls out for a snooze. For being approximately 5 months old, he is extremely lazy! Every once in a while he will even crawl up next to you on the couch. (His snuggling seems to be increasing as he becomes more and more comfortable with his surroundings.)
Frank has been doing really great with potty training, and as long as you watch for his cues, he will continue to be accident free. He can hold it for a very long time and has never had an accident in his kennel.
Speaking of kennels, Frank benefits from scheduled kennel time during the day even though his foster family is currently home full time. Frank is likely to develop separation anxiety if he does not have frequent solo time. While he doesn’t like going in, once he is, he is fine. He snuggles into his blanket and falls asleep until you let him out. He sleeps in the kennel all night, too.
Due to Frank’s nervousness he needs to go to a home without young children and he would greatly benefit from having a confident dog role model to continue to learn from. Frank also requires a fenced-in yard if his furever home will be in a neighborhood as he will likely try to hide if he becomes spooked and his human isn’t out there to protect him.
Do you have what it takes to give this sweet boy the time, patience, and love he deserves to continue his journey to becoming the goodest boy ever?!
